As of May 1, 2008, the initial outline of this journal is no longer entirely accurate, so a new one is in order, since I hope to use this more often now.

oncebymoonlight is the creative nothings journal for yo_san, for stories that are unlikely to grow into large projects, for one reason or another. As a rule of thumb, original works will go under friends-cuts, while fanfiction will remain uncut.

What you might find here if you are:

Friended

* Strange little nothings with absolutely no context. They may show up later somewhere else if I expand upon the idea.

* New characters to be used later somewhere, whether on a roleplay or in a later work.

* Somewhat essay-like works discoursing on writing ideas that I have. These will be mainly to help me sort out my own thoughts and will possibly contain minor spoilers for other works.

* Possibly, if the situation comes up, I will write commissioned works. This is not expected and it would be rare that I would do commissioned fanfiction even for fandoms that I am very involved in. This would include birthday fics for if someone happened to really like an original work of mine.

* Scenes that are planned to be in a future work.

* Scenes that are too melodramatic to be considered in any publishable work that I wish to write.

* Writing practice.

* Parodies of other works or of specific genres. An example of this might be placing my characters into a "magical girl" universe.

Not friended

* Speculative fanfics concerning roleplays that I have been in before. Almost certainly only containing my own characters, with any other characters only mentioned as my characters' impressions of them.

* General fanfiction. This is less likely, as I do not write much fanfiction nowadays.

Most of you on my flist don't really know my original characters personally. Small wonder, I don't really write much for them beyond RPing, though I really should. To remedy this to some small degree and give you a small introduction to the madness, I propose this:

Give me a bit of inspiration. A picture, a poem, a summary of a story, some words you'd like it themed on, etc. I'll write for the character you specify or the character I want to write for. It doesn't matter. No word limit, no nothing. I'll also include a bit of backstory if it's needed, or even link you to their 20 facts post, if they have one.
